Will be going through San Andrea's on Game Pass. Dont really care about 3 or Vice City all that much.

Microsoft Store listing has it in a feature list but it might be a mistake :(

I want to know as well if it really has HDR... it's Unreal Engine so it should be trivial to implement and actually very beneficial to new art style and lighting.

The fuck, was doing the Switch dirty like that really necessary?
But other than that a nice OT and thanks for reminding about gyro aiming, might actually get the Switch version for that alone despite the toned down visuals.

Gyro aiming on switch might actually work pretty well with the new aiming.

I haven't played GTA3 in 20 years and I've never played Vice City. I'm mostly interested in San Andreas.

Are GTA3 and Vice City worth the price of admission? I have no idea how well those games hold up.

Global release, sadly.

Yep. I've seen OT's for other games threads get completely derailed for less. The vaseline thing in the picture might seem to come across as clever, but it really it's not and seems really unnecessary.

GTA III not as much IMO, gameplay-wise it's the same for all three, but the progression is a little bit in the early days of the formula. It does have great atmosphere though.

But Vice City is still fantastic, no questions asked.

Personally i think the open world design in all three games is still great and better than GTA4 and5

I was writing a post in the other thread before it was locked:

Just as I feared, the huge draw distance is such a bad choice for SA. There's a point where you WANT fog, because it helps hide the horrible LOD for very far away terrain and objects, and gives the feel of a bigger map. The game just looks so off without it (RIP orange haze btw). 3 and VC are okay without it.
One example is Elder Scrolls Online, it uses depth of field (and some fog) to add a feel of scale to cities and mountains in the distance, even if they are in the same zone.
Not holding my breath for a patch or option to add fog, so that leaves mods, that is if the games can be modded.

Another thing I just noticed and I don't know if others brought up is that the sun/shadows update by steps instead of constantly moving. Sun moves every 3.5 seconds lol. The original version of Skyrim did that too.

On a positive note, VC looks SO GOOD, DAMN!

Before any of you get mad at the OP, I'm planning on picking this up on Switch in the near future to play exclusively in handheld mode ;^)
Just a bit of bants ;^))

Kinda sad how this forum has slowly turned into Gamefaqs.

Put a proper image up.

Super excited to see what Switch performance is like - definitely want that physical on a cartridge, but more curious to see if the PC has proper ultrawide support. It's insane to think we're going to be able to play this portable soon enough - hope it does great so we can get LCS and VCS as well. And re-release The Warriors on Switch, Rockstar pls!

That user was banned recently for going into a Xbox thread trolling about Nintendo first party games. So... better not take them seriously.

UE4 has some alright ultrawide support out the box, I think it'll be supported.

Do we know how badly the song selection from VC has been gutted?

ready to sink some massive time into SA all over again. i'll dabble and beat 3/VC but SA is truly where the meat is. otherwise, hoping the music doesn't get butchered too badly.

Should be interesting to see initial gameplay footage. It's not quite radio silence but it's just feels a bit strange. I mean at the end of the day they are PS2 games with remastering work done on them so the base foundation is solid then I don't foresee too much of an issue.

Still looking forward to the release. I wonder if Digital Foundry is going to do some analysis. Might be an interesting Episode of DF Retro to look back at the original PS2 originals, the various ports over the years, and these newest versions of the games.

To me all three look like fan made projects without art director. Also it really looks like San Andreas was meant to be only remaster (because it looks like the most work was put into it) and then they added other two into the mix.
